Week 11: Review on Ms. Marvel by G. Willow Wilson

Title: Ms. Marvel no normal
Author: G Willow Wilson
Publisher: Marvel
Date: October 28, 2014

Ms. Marvel, a graphic novel sends a clear message through its story. The main character, Kamala Khan struggles with identity, being popular, and her culture of being Muslim. This tale depicts culture and being a teenager in one. When she becomes a superhero she thinks her life will be easy but it proves to be anything but.

Teenagers should read this if they are interested in graphic novels because this story is about more than just what being a superhero means. It is about learning that you are enough. I loved the message because in this generation teens are concerned with likes and followers. They can read a great story with a loaded message. I recommend also for tweens and children.
